The UK2000 Scenery team announced that they would be working on new ways to produce scenery for the simulator, with 2019 being the year that they bring the first airport using the new technology and development flows. Announced earlier today, the team shared the news that Inverness Xtreme 2019 would be the first airport released.
The team has spent time creating brand new models and textures which will feature full HD and multi-material effects. UK2000 Scenery said that specular, bumb and window reflections will be used on the main buildings and true PBR materials have also been used.
These new models and textures have been primarily made for Prepar3D V4, with X-Plane versions also in the pipeline. Further, the team also confirmed they there will “hopefully be a version for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020” when that has been released. There will also be FSX and P3Dv3 versions also available. No FS2004 version will be produced.
No timeline was mentioned for a release at this stage. Be sure to follow UK2000 Scenery to keep updated with their progress on Facebook.
