Only a few days since the announcement, UK2000 has released their rendition of London City Airport (EGLC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

London City Airport is a small international airport located in the Royal Docks area of London, United Kingdom. It is the closest airport to central London, with a travel time of around 20 minutes to Canary Wharf and 30 minutes to the City of London. The airport was first opened in 1987 and has since undergone several expansions and renovations. It is primarily used for business and short-haul flights, with a focus on destinations within Europe. London City has a single 5500ft runway with ILS and a steep 5.5′ glide path with only certain aircraft being certified to fly into the airport such as the ATR 42 & 72, Embraer 170/175 & 190/195 and the Airbus A220.

At present London City has around 36 destinations in 18 countries with the longest route to and from London being Mykonos, at 973 miles non stop operated by a British Airways Embraer 190.

UK2000’s rendition of London City features high detail buildings throughout, PBR texturing, realistic ground markings, highly detailed airport vehicles, custom vegetation, fencing, animated trains, terminal interior, night effects and more.

You can purchase London City International Airport (EGLC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator from the UK2000 website for £13.99 here.
