Another announcement while our servers were being uncooperative (were developers conspiring to leave all of their releases and product announcement until we were down?) was UK2000 announcing Edinburgh Xtreme X-Plane Edition.
With a single screenshot of an arriving Ryanair 737 posted to their Facebook page, UK2000 revealed what users can expect in the upcoming scenery.
The existing scenery on the FSX/P3D platform has features such as:
- Full detail Buildings
- Realistic Ground Markings
- Hi Res ground image
- UK Runway markings
- Stunning Night Effects
- 3D Approach Lights
- Dozens of Airport Vehicles
- Excellent Frame Rates
- Runway Wigwags
- Full set of signs
- Fencing
- Grass edge effects
However X-Plane users can expect further features on top of this, such as custom lighting, taxiways and stand assignments, AI ground routes, PBR, Specular lighting, as well as the much loved but often left out AutoGate safedock and jetways plugin.
No word on when the scenery is due for release as it’s said to be in early development, but we can expect to be paying a very reasonable £16.99 for their hard work. As always, FSElite will keep you posted.
