Doha Hamad International Airport (OTHH/DOH) is the primary international gateway to Qatar and serves as the home base for Qatar Airways. The airport opened in 2014 to replace the significantly smaller, 70 year-old original Doha International Airport. Renowned for its world-class passenger experience and architecture, Hamad International Airport has been frequently named one of the best airports in the world. To accommodate increasing demand and the FIFA 2022 World Cup, the airport underwent a terminal expansion project that added new lounges and additional gates. With its central location, Doha Hamad Airport continues to serve as a vital connector airport.
Tuwaiq Designs’ rendition of Hamad International Airport aims to accurately convey the sense of luxury and efficiency that the real-life Doha airport evokes. The scenery features accurate terminal modeling, with fully-modeled interiors that capture the small details of the airport. PBR and custom ground textures were implemented to enhance the scenery’s realism. Finally, custom jetways with accurate positioning ensure that even the largest widebody aircraft can accurately park at the scenery.
