Torquesim has been working on an experimental, high powered single-engine turboprop aircraft called the Pocket Rocket. The Developer announced via their website that they will be releasing the aircraft through the X-Aviation website this weekend.
Torquesim has modelled the Pocket Rocket in two variants, Fixed and retractable gear. the aircraft with retractable gear is of a tri-cycle design whereas the fixed gear model is that of a taildragger. A total of 13 liveries will be available with the aircraft including a blank and paint-kit version.
The aircraft itself is based on an Impulse 100 TD light aircraft with a modified airframe and a PT6 Pratt and Whitney engine producing 760HP. Needless to say, this gives the aircraft unprecedented performance. The light aircraft weighs just 1,000lbs when empty and can climb at 80 degrees with full power without stalling. With a name like ‘Pocket Rocket,’ you wouldn’t expect anything less. If zipping around at low altitude isn’t your thing, the Pocket Rocket has a service ceiling of around 25,000ft which enables you to cruise around comfortably at speeds of Mach 0.6.
There are a plethora of in-depth features that come with this aircraft including full PBR 4K texturing and a high fidelity FMOD sound pack. You can find a full feature list below along with screenshots of the Pocket Rocket in action.
