In an announcement on their Facebook page, developers Advanced Flight Modelling (AFM) and Attitude Simulations have joined forces to create an exciting project under the joint name of TORQUESIM. Together these developers will work on creating Mike Patey’s famous aircraft which goes by the name of DRACO as well as another aircraft which is affectionately called the ‘pocket rocket’. These projects is for X-Plane 11 exclusively and one that the X-Plane community can certainly look forward to.
First up will be the pocket rocket which is a heavily modified version of the Impulse 100 aircraft. This aircraft is a small and nimble plane which will provide some great fun to users who purchase this product.
Next up will be Mike Patey’s DRACO aircraft which is a highly modified Wilga 2000 aircraft and is one of a kind. This awesome bush aircraft will be a great addition for those that like to land wherever they wish in a very short distance. The video shown below shows the incredible takeoff and landing abilities of this highly versatile aircraft.
TORQUESIM developer Steaven Mckenzie has shown off some preliminary cockpit shots of the pocket rocket. From the renders shown, this project is already looking like it’s shaping up nicely.
