Aircraft developer, Thranda Design has further previewed their next project over on the X-Plane ‘what have you flown today?‘ forum with screenshots of the Pilatus PC-6 Porter.
The PC-6 Porter is a Swiss Short Take-Off and Landing aircraft, widely used across the globe both military and commercially to ferry passengers and cargo into the smallest of airfields. The initial model of the PC-6 was built in 1959 with a pistol powered engine. A later model, built in 1961, was equipped with a more powerful turboprop engine which enabled the aircraft to operate at higher speeds at the cost of fuel efficiency. Although known for its length needed for its take-off and landing, the aircraft also holds a world record for the highest altitude landing at 18,865 feet.
Thranda has included two external and one internal screenshots of the aircraft showcasing some external detailing around the prop and tail sections, PBR texturing that is notable on the wheels and internally, a well modelled 3D cabin including first aid kit.
