Asian scenery developers Thai Creation have released a rendition of Tribhuvan International Airport (ICAO: VNKT) for P3Dv4/5.
The airport serves the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu and is the only airport in Nepal serving international destinations including (among others) Doha, Guangzhou, Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
However the most frequently served destination from the airport is Lukla, where many climbers looking to summit Mt. Everest make final preparations before beginning on their challenging climb.

Simmers will already be familiar with Lukla’s challenging approach through rugged terrain, steep runway gradient and lack of ability to fly go-arounds, since the end of the runway is adjacent to a sheer mountainside.
Thai Creation say they have included all major details, buildings, taxiways and runways, very high resolution custom ground textures and high resolution photo-scenery at 60cm/pixel.
The developer does say that the airport is currently for daytime operations only, but that a free v2 upgrade will be provided in due course and suggest this will include night operations. No information is provided as to the state of the airport’s lighting in this V1 package, however.
Tribhuvan International Airport from Thai Creations is now available from SimMarket for €14.00. Customers who have previously purchased one of the developer’s P3D sceneries are entitled to a 50% discount offer. See site for details.
