Trijet enthusiasts and cargo connoisseurs, it’s your time to shine. TFDi Design’s long-awaited update for the MD-11 is arriving on 12th January, 2026.
The update brings a host of refinements to TFDi’s rendition of the MD-11 including expanded systems simulation, new art and sounds, and MSFS 2024 compatibility.
Pilots can expect to see a highly detailed cockpit with numerous customer options, a meticulously modeled exterior with an emphasis on mechanical details and clickable doors, a thorough and detailed systems model featuring both manual and automatic control modes, an advanced auto flight system, an advanced FMS featuring SID/STAR/holds capabilities, two engine variants, sounds from Echo 19 Audio, an interactive passenger cabin with working controls, and a variety of third-party integrations.
The Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 variant of the MD-11 takes full advantage of the new LOD system to minimize performance impact. 2024-only features include: working overhead bins, trays, and lavatories in the cabin, exterior click-spots, career mode functionality (only if purchased through MSFS marketplace), and 3D default passengers.
TFDi MD-11 Revised Pricing Details
Existing customers of the TFDi MD-11 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will receive the art update for free for MSFS 2020. In order to access the 2024 version, existing customers can expect to pay USD 5 / EUR 4.30 / GBP 3.73. This upgrade charge covers all variants of the MD-11.
For new customers, pricing will increase by USD 5 / EUR 4.30 / GBP 3.73 after the release of the 2024 version of MD-11. This means that the first variant customers purchase will be priced at USD 74.99 / EUR 64.45 / GBP 55.93. Purchasing an additional variant will cost USD 10 / EUR 8.59 / GBP 7.43
The Extended Simulations Package features working circuit breakers and over 230 possible failures. It is priced at USD 5 / EUR 4.30 / GBP 3.73
