Over on their Discord, the TFDi Design team has announced that their MD-11 has reached a “feature complete” state. The team has been able to incorporate all the features that they set out to implement.
The update has been pushed to the MD-11 quality assurance team, who will take the aircraft through its paces. The development team will spend the next several weeks working on fixing bugs that come up. Once the majority of the bugs have been fixed, and TFDi Design is happy with the state of the aircraft, it will move on to the public release.
As the MD-11 is getting closer to a public release, it will be removed from pre-sale. This will happen one week before the public release is scheduled to take place. Customers who have purchased TFDi Design’s MD-11 during the pre-sale will be able to download the aircraft early, and everyone (including the pre-sale users) will also be able to download and fly it on release day.
The Extended Simulation package, that will include failures, is not scheduled for release until later this year, along “post-release fixes and enhancements”.
Update: we previously used images on this article that were not reflective of the latest version of the aircraft. We have replaced these images with ones of a later build. Image credit goes to Discord user SCOTSGOD.
