TerraBuilder has released its Kennedy Space Center v2 as a free update on Microsoft Flight Simulator. The space shuttle scenery add-on gives you the chance to launch rockets in your simulator from one of the most famous space ports in the world: Kennedy Space Center.
You click on the ‘launch’ button in the in-sim panel and watch as the 20-second countdown starts. Once that reaches zero, you will be able to see your rocket take off, whilst engulfing the area in realistic, dynamic plume visual effects. The rocket itself will roll and pitch based on the correct orbital azimuth and will start accelerating towards orbit. You can watch these launches from the ground or while in flight. You can watch some of the videos below as an example of what you can both see and hear.
Since we last saw the preview from TerraBuilder, a new secondary option for launch blast effects have been added. You can switch between them depending on your preference. You can also choose the era of your rocket to your preference. This update also includes a vehicle convoy and dynamic crew characters that follow the rocket on its way to the launch pad, and properly animated crawler treads.

Kennedy Space Center V2 is now available as a free update for existing customers and is fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Also available now for MSFS 2024 You can get it right now via the in-sim Marketplace, or if you don’t own it already, you can buy it for $29.99 USD.
