We already know that developer FlyByWire is hard at work on providing the Microsoft Flight Simulator community with a freeware A380 to experience in the simulator. Whilst news has been quiet, the team did share a sneak preview of the Airbus giant in the simulator. The single screenshot (above) shows us a little of the iconic wing fence and a little of the engines.
The double-decked aircraft is hotly anticipated amongst the community. The news that FlyByWire would be developing an A380 first appeared back in November last year and we have seen just a handful of renders since. This preview marks the first time we’ve seen the external model of the aircraft in the simulator.
If this aircraft is anything like the level of detail as the A32NX, then this could be one of the first A380 products we have had in any flight simulator that would provide a good experience.
We can only hope this teaser is a sign that more details and screenshots will be revealed soon. In related news, FlyByWire shared a preview of what to expect from an upcoming update for their A32NX.
