After a few weeks of teasing the airport, Taxi2Gate has released Orlando International Airport (KMCO) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport located in the heart of Florida is known for bringing tourists from around the globe to the theme park capital of the world.
Orlando Intl Airport sees plenty of traffic, with over 50 million passengers going through its doors back in 2019. Airlines domestically and internationally bring visitors to the airport, no doubt to visit some of the nearby attractions.
Taxi2Gate has included features that are fairly common and expected from any scenery release in Microsoft Flight Simulator. This includes custom 3D buildings with bespoke artwork, PBR texturing and an up-to-date AFCAD. The airport layout is based on the most-recent charts and diagrams, including the newest south terminal building.
A word of warning, however, comes with the product. In order to effectively use the airport, you will need to turn off photogrammetry data as it interferes with the airport. Taxi2Gate has said that they are working on a new an update which will mean you can keep photogrammetry turned on. There is no word on a release date for it yet.
If you are wanting to pick up Orlando Intl Airport for MSFS, you can do so from SIMMARKET for €23.99. Users who owned the Prepar3D version can upgrade for €21.99.
