Since our last review in August on Tailstrike Designs upcoming scenery Reggio Calabria Airport (LICR), for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the developer has recently released updates through their Facebook page to further preview the airport.
The new previews show the progress the developer has taken to enhance the airport environment as well as the surrounding area of Reggio Calabria. As we depart straight out from runway 33, we eventually come to see the football stadium located in the city, along with an accurate depiction of the train yard to the west of the stadium. These can be seen in the images found below.
Furthermore, as we fly along the beaches of the Strait of Messina, we eventually approach two high voltage towers, one located in Calabria and the other on the Sicily side. This provides the user with even more things to see in the Reggio Calabria region. In the original post back in August, there was no mention of objects outside the airport premises, so this came in surprise as we look through the images.
In the recent post on the development of this particular airport, many comments sparked fury from the community about the depiction of the control tower. Finally, we can now see the progress of the airport environment and the control tower, in particular, has been developed to have a see-through glass. In addition, static aircraft is displayed along with a hefty amount of custom ground traffic.
