Synaptic Simulations has released version 1.0.6 of the Synaptic A220 on the Microsoft in-game marketplace for PC and Xbox, bringing a mix of systems, art and EFB fixes alongside performance work.
On the systems side, Synaptic states the update includes performance improvement passes on the aircraft’s Rust backend code, along with fixes for a WASM crash when opening the leg menu on some procedures, missing avionics indications during active pause, post-flight checklists incorrectly appearing mid-flight, and the heading select line showing initially on the MAP display.
Synaptic also stated that the PFD altitude tape has been corrected after incorrectly hiding the ten-thousands placeholder above 1,500ft, the cooling inlet now defaults to OFF in a cold and dark state, and a bug causing screens to blank out when pressing B on a controller has been fixed.
On the art side, model geometry complexity has reportedly been reduced, removing what Synaptic describes as over one million vertices across the model and its shadows without a visual impact, aimed at improving performance and reducing stutters.
Missing interior occlusion when viewed from outside the aircraft has also been fixed, along with missing cabin walls on the left and right sides of the forward window view. The EFB has seen a change too, with the APT filter for Navigraph charts merged to correctly render all available charts.
In a Discord announcement accompanying the release, Synaptic said a larger performance update reworking FMS handling and other performance-intensive systems had been intended for 1.0.6, but has been pushed to a future patch due to the additional work required. Two known issues were also flagged: those experiencing non-functional screens post-update should update the CPDLC community mod, for which Synaptic offers no official support, while those seeing erroneous banking should disable custom turbulence effects in FSRealistic.
Version 1.0.7 is said to already be in development ahead of the aircraft’s planned release on iniBuilds Manager, with changelog details to follow later this week.
