Synaptic Simulations Announces New A220 Update

Synaptic Simulations has announced the next update for their Airbus A220 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

This update introduces a new Navigraph database (cycle 2503) and adds navigation database selection via the FMS. Performance and stability have also been improved across the aircraft’s avionics, with numerous fixes addressing WASM crashes, flight planning, navigation, and checklist functionality.

Visual and performance optimisations have been implemented throughout the cockpit and cabin, including improved LODs and reduced model complexity to improve simulator performance. Several livery-related issues have also been resolved.

The EFB now includes a time-acceleration advisory and fixes to landing-performance calculations and Navigraph integration, while flight-model tweaks improve landing-gear behaviour during takeoff and landing.

And finally, due to high load on downloads for the A220 terrain map, they have now ported the download for the A220’s 3D Terrain Map into the iniManager. Both 400 and 1200 resolution versions are now available for download.

The v.1.0.3 update will arrive in the MSFS Marketplace on Tuesday 4th August. v1.0.2 is intentionally skipped.
