A new update for Synaptic’s former Bombardier beluga, the Airbus A220, is available now on the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace. This update brings the A220 version number (1.0.3) into lockstep for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
In response to community feedback, V1.0.3 includes a long list of performance focused updates to the systems and 3D model. According to Synaptic, the systems update alone resulted in performance gains as high as 30 percent on some machines. The bad news is tray table animations are now disabled.
Several key WASM crashes were fixed including a crash when attempting to clear a discontinuity at the start of the flight plan, when starting APU from battery power, and when using native navdata.
3rd party integration fixes include a fix for valid SimBrief usernames being rejected on the FMS uplink dialog and a fix for Navigraph tokens being lost on every new flight in MSFS 2024.
Synaptic’s 1.0.3 update also includes a host of quality-of-life improvements like corrected turnaround behavior, fixes for ND terrain sometimes not appearing, fixes to checklist behavior, corrected ICE DET FAIL messages, and retuned autobrake behavior on de-rotation.
