Synaptic Simulations has released version 1.0.10 of its A220 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, bringing another fairly substantial round of improvements to the aircraft.
Perhaps the most notable addition this time around is the new airport moving map. Those with Navigraph data can now make use of a full airport map, whilst a runways-only version is available when using the simulator’s native navigation data.
The FMS has also gained a couple of useful additions. The ALONG TRK WPT function has returned, whilst pilot-defined waypoints can now be quickly entered from the ROUTE page using place/bearing/distance or place-bearing/place-bearing formats.
A decent amount of work has gone into the flight model with 1.0.10 as well. Synaptic has addressed slight pitch and roll oscillations during cruise and BARO RNP approaches, along with jitter when using 2x and 4x simulation rates. Changes have also been made to how the aircraft behaves during the transition between ground and flight.
Landing behaviour has received some attention too, with adjustments to gear compression and suspension designed to produce smoother touchdowns. Ground spoiler lift dumping has been increased, tyre grip at higher speeds has been adjusted and the aircraft should now be more sensitive to crosswinds during takeoff and landing.
Elsewhere, fixes cover VNAV wind predictions, frequency swapping through the CNS format, flap and slat timings, autopilot behaviour and various EICAS and navigation display issues.
There are some smaller visual changes included as well. The cockpit gear pin stowage box is now interactive, whilst fixes have been made to cockpit decals, lighting, clickspots and pilot models in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Version 1.0.10 is now available via the iniManager and will come to the in-sim Marketplace later this week. You can read the complete v1.0.10 changelog on the Synaptic documentation website.
