Over on their Facebook page, Indonesian developer Suroboyo Simulation has released preview images for their upcoming airport for FSX and P3D. Raden Inten II International Airport (ICAO: WILL) is located in South-Western Sumatra, Indonesia. Named after the last sultan of Lampung, the international airport serves the area of Bandar Lampung, the capital of Sumatra.
The airport started out as a hub for the Japenese war effort during WWII and was later repurposed for civil flight in 1963. It now serves many routes including Jakarta and Batam provided by airlines such as Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air. The airport is at its busiest during the Hajj pilgrimage and can see over 1.4 million passenger movements each year.
Suroboyo Simulation has modelled the airport to a high level and includes the main terminal, parking facilities, ground equipment and more. The airport also includes SODE airbridges to add a great level of immersion. Take a look at the screenshots below to see the scenery in more detail.
Although these screenshots are a work in progress, Suroboyo Simulation has teased that the release of Raden Inten II is imminent so keep your eye on their Facebook page.
