FSElite’s coverage of FSWeekend 2026 continues with an exclusive peek at the trailer for the hotly anticipated MBB Bo 105 helicopter coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Flight Simulator 2024 by Stratoware (Formerly Project Stratosphere) in partnership with Miltech Simulations.
The Bo 105 is a multi-role helicopter known for its use as an aerobatics platform by an energy drink brand, a HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) platform, and a versatile combat platform. It is considered the grandfather of the modern-day Eurocopter EC130, which is now known as the Airbus Helicopters H130.
Stratoware’s rendition of the German rotorcraft has been developed with an uncompromising focus on realism, performance, and versatility. The flight model has been developed in collaboration with a real-world Bo 105 pilot. From its responsive controls to its aerobatic capabilities, the Bo 105’s flight model has been meticulously crafted as an accurate reflection of the unique handling capabilities of the agile light helicopter. The developer has also taken full advantage of MSFS 2024’s native flight model capabilities in the process.
To complement the realistic flight dynamics, a realistic sound set developed by Echo 19 is included with the Bo 105. It features audio captured directly from a real-world Bo 105 helicopter for an accurate soundscape that enhances immersion.
