Weather engine StrataWx is now available through the iniBuilds Store, giving Microsoft Flight Simulator users another place to pick up the existing weather injection tool.
Rather than being a new release, the news here is the product’s arrival on the iniBuilds Store. StrataWx is designed as an alternative weather engine for Microsoft Flight Simulator, continuously injecting atmospheric data into the running simulator through its in-game weather system.
The software handles winds and temperatures aloft, cloud layers, precipitation and pressure, alongside calculated aviation hazards such as turbulence, icing, freezing levels and convective activity. Weather coverage is global, using Open-Meteo and GFS data, with international SIGMET, AIRMET and PIREP information also supported.
StrataWx is being sold separately for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, with each version priced at £22.19 excluding VAT on the iniBuilds Store. Those wanting access to both simulator versions can purchase a Dual Licence, with an upgrade priced at £4.99 for existing owners of either version.
