Only 58 days stand between right now and the start of FlightSimExpo 2019. North America’s community-driven flight simulation is stepping things up this year. A new location, bigger venue and more exhibitors than ever before – there will be something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s event.
One of the highlights of these shows is the wide-range of speakers and seminars that will be taking place. This year is no different with a large number of speakers taking the time to talk about a wide variety of subjects.
The line-up consists of YouTubers Jason Miller and Steve Thorne (“FlightChops”) who will speak about the benefits of the simulator and how it can be applied to real-world training. After that, Twitch streamer Chillywillies will moderate a panel designed to connect attendees to flight simulation developers. Talking about their experiences, challenges and what they predict will happen in the industry next.
Over the course of the day, on the 8th June, a variety of developers and publishers will be taking to the stage for 30 minutes to announce new products or talk about their upcoming software. Some of the big names to take to the stage include Prepar3D, Virtual-Fly, Mettar Simulations and Gleim Aviation. Others who will have the stage include Parallel 42, Noble Flight Simulation and Mindstar Aviation.
The following day, there will be additional talks and seminars. The talks on the Sunday 9th of June will feature a range of discussions on how the first-time simmer can get involved in the community. Whilst super nervous, I am also excited to confirm that I will be on stage delivering a talk on taking people on a brief overview on getting them started in simulation. In addition to me, Sebastian Knoop-Troullier, and Ethan Hawes will also take to the stage taking attendees through other important elements of setting up and using an at-home simulator.
There will also be landing competitions from the X-Plane community, an in-depth seminar on cockpit building and also our friend Sergio from Helisimmer will give a discussion on helicopter flight simulation.
If all these talks weren’t enough, FlightSimExpo 2019 will feature more exhibitors than ever before. So far, over 50 have confirmed attendance. Since our last post on expected exhibitors, FlightSimExpo has added the following:
Flight One Software (sponsor), Flight Velocity, FS-FlightControl, FSReborn Series by Flight Sim Technologies Ltd, Graves RC, Jetline Systems, LIFT Academy – Republic Airways, Mettar Simulations, Mindstar Aviation, National Air Traffic Controllers Association, NIMBUS SIMULATION STUDIOS, Noble Flight Simulation, PropWash Simulation, Q8 Pilot (sponsor), RaceDayQuads, REMEX (The Irregular Corp.), SKALARKI electronics Ltd, Vattastic, and VIRTUAL FLY S.L.
