SoFly has released Airport ALIVE: Global Base Pack, a new audio enhancement for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 designed to bring more atmosphere to over 500 airports around the world.
Rather than focusing on the visuals of an airport, Airport ALIVE adds a dynamic sound environment covering terminals, security areas, aprons, taxiways, runways and other parts of the airport. More than 100 different audio effects are included, ranging from passengers moving through terminals to the general activity heard around a busy aircraft apron.
Airport ALIVE also comes with dynamic sound elements. Time of day, day of the week and weather can influence what you hear. Rain, for example, will introduce the sound of water hitting the pavement, whilst airport restaurants and terminal areas become quieter during the middle of the night. Aircraft activity around the airport will similarly vary depending on the time of day.
The sounds also make use of 3D spatial audio, whilst volume levels dynamically change depending on whether you are using an external spot view or sitting inside the cockpit.

SoFly says the Global Base Pack supports more than 500 regional, international and island airports. It has been designed to work with default, handcrafted and third-party scenery without requiring individual airport configuration. You can see the full list of launch airports here.
Airport ALIVE: Global Base Pack is now available via the SoFly Store for £14.99 (excluding tax), and will also be coming to the iniBuilds store, Orbx, SIMMARKET, Contrail, Aerosoft, and soon the in-sim Marketplace for Xbox and PC.
