SoFly Hannover Airport Enters Beta and Announces Airport Product Transfer Programme

SoFly Hannover Airport is closer to launch with the new announcement it is now in beta.

SoFly Hannover Airport Enters Beta and Announces Airport Product Transfer Programme

Following the announcement of Hannover Airport during FSWeekend last month, SoFly has today confirmed via social media that the airport product has entered beta testing.

They confirmed that they now have multiple testers working hard on finding bugs, tracking down issues and suggesting improvements ahead of its public release. It is also confirmed that Hannover Airport will feature custom animated human models in the terminal that move around the airport, all with minimal frame impact. This feature joins the animated bus (on a timetable), moving doors as you approach them, and dynamic objects like snow banks and escalators.

SoFly originally announced a “Spring 2025” release, and the company says that they are on track to maintain this goal. More details are promised from the company soon about even more features coming to Hannover Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

Airport Product Transfer Programme

In addition to the news of Hannover entering beta, SoFly also announced a new ‘Airport Product Transfer’ Programme that allows new customers to migrate from other developed airports to SoFly’s own renditions. The example given was UK2000 Scenery’s Cardiff Airport, which can be migrated to SoFly’s own with a “significant” discount applied.

The current slate of airports included in the APT programme is as follows:

  • UK2000 Scenery – EGFF Cardiff Airport
  • Orbx – LWOH Ohrid Airport
  • Simulación Extrema – SCIP Mataveri Airport

You will need to complete a form (providing evidence), and the transfer will be valid only through purchasing through the SoFly store. Discounts range from 20% – 50%, depending on the product. SoFly concluded that they are evaluating whether to introduce this with Hannover when it launches, depending on customer interest. If you’re interested, you can learn more about the Airport Product Transfer programme here (including the form).
