SoFly has announced that their newly rebranded AeroTone (formerly Aircraft Sound Enhancer) will be released on December 17th 2025.
This is a product that has been in the making since the start of 2025 and has been the work of a collaboration between multiple companies. DARKOCEAN has been credited with making the custom in-sim panel, whilst Echo19 have been the engineering team behind the soundscape heard in the product.
AeroTone will give you access to 80+ sound effects that will enhance every aircraft in your hangar. It includes sound environment effects for the cockpit and cabin by enhancing the avionics, wind, and adding ambient sound like coughing, sneezing, chatter, and more. Each effect can be customised via the in-sim panel. Whilst every aircraft is supported, official profiles are included to customise the experience on a per-aircraft basis. Users can create their own and share them with the community for even more refinement.

A full suite of ATC background sound effects is also included, with over 100 hours of audio. They are region-specific, meaning you will only hear those effects as you fly or taxi in and around those areas. It’s also further refined by having both ground and air ATC options. SoFly says this isn’t designed to replace or be a full ATC program, but to add more immersion when flying offline.
Whilst a full trailer isn’t available yet, SoFly did release a Tutorial Video for the product, so you can begin to understand how it all works ahead of its December 17th 2025 launch.
When AeroTone is released, it will be available for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 on day one, with a console version launching soon afterwards via the in-sim Marketplace. A price has yet to be revealed for AeroTone. In the meantime, a dedicated website has been launched, giving you an overview of each of the features, along with the chance to listen to some samples from the product.
