SoFly has today confirmed that they are bringing Cardiff Airport (EGFF) to X-Plane 12.
This will be SoFly’s first X-Plane product, and they have decided to bring the Welsh Capital to the simulator. They have partnered with Sun Studios to bring the regional airport to the simulator, taking advantage of X-Plane 12’s engine.
SoFly says that the airport is an up-to-date rendition, with high-quality textures, detailed modelling, and plenty of exterior modelling for the GA areas and the BA maintenance hangar. They also say there will be winter effects added during the colder months, along with taking advantage of the wet weather effects found in X-Plane 12. Jetways are also functional thanks to the use of SAM and/or openSAM.

SoFly has confirmed that Cardiff Airport for X-Plane 12 will be available very soon, with a full trailer expected in the near future. Pricing and an exact release date are yet to be announced. You can read their announcement here.
