Update 31st Jan 2024 @ 10:30z: As announced, SoFly released Better Camera Preset Pro for MSFS. You can buy it from SoFly for £12.99 or Orbx for $26.95 AUD (all excluding taxes). It will come to iniBuilds, Contrail, Aerosoft, SIMMARKET and the in-sim Marketplace on February 13th 2025.
A new product from SoFly has just been announced as it aims to assist users with the in-sim camera. Better Camera Preset Pro will improve presets for over 90 aircraft, along with new views and improved perspectives.
The tool can be installed directly in the community folder and will change camera presets for all default aircraft and a number of third-party planes. Changes to the pilot’s perspectives are one of the key points to the product, along with the re-naming of the default camera presets so instead of reading ‘Instrument 01’, it will display the actual name. In addition, new instrument views for default planes have also been added (e.g. EFB for the 787-10).
Further to making changes, the team has also added hundreds of new presets to include new external and internal views. New wing views, tail cam, belly cam, and cabin views are now part of the presets available for many planes.

Better Camera Preset Pro will not override any of your current custom cams as it doesn’t affect those in the local cache folder, so you can keep those, along with these new ones.
SoFly made it clear that this isn’t a ChasePlane competitor or anything similar. “ChasePlane by our friends at Parallel 42 is a unique product, and one we’re all eagerly awaiting,” SoFly said. “Better Camera Preset Pro helps ease the pain for those looking for more views and flexibility, whilst we await Parallel 42 to work its magic and bring us the camera tool we desperately need for MSFS. In the meantime, we hope customers will enjoy added views and fixes to the current presets found across a spectrum of planes.”
You can buy it from SoFly for £12.99 or Orbx for $26.95 AUD (all excluding taxes). A free update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 users will follow soon after, SoFly says. For more on SoFly, check out their Cardiff Airport or Ohrid Airport releases.
