SoFly Announces Aircraft Sound Enhancer Tool for MSFS 2020/24

SoFly has wrapped up its 10-minute presentation with a final product announcement. This new product, currently called Aircraft Sound Enhancer, is coming to both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 as a way to enhance the sound effects across your entire suite of aircraft.

SoFly is working with a number of partners on this project too, including TerraBuilder (creating the WASM modules), DarkOcean Designs (panel) and Echo19 (sound effects). Together, this collaborative approach will bring a range of customisable options to anyone looking to add and diversify their sound effect suite for their plane.

The interface has been designed from the ground up to offer flexibility in terms of turning on/off sound effects, adjust volume, and more. You will be able to customise each aircraft in your library or edit the officially supplied profiles. Custom-made ones can also be shared with the community and added into the tool.

The soundscape itself is brought to life by Echo 19, who is known for their high-fidelity aircraft and cabin audio work. “From subtle ambient wind tones to the deep rumble of touchdown, every sound has been carefully recorded, layered, and tuned to reflect real-world aircraft acoustics,” according to SoFly. Over 500 sound effect recordings will go into this product, and that excludes all of the generic ATC chatter you will be able to listen to on a regional level.

Aircraft Sound Enhancer is currently slated for a Summer 2025 release for all platforms. You can watch the preview trailer above.
