Developer SkyMatrix recently took to their Discord to share new photo previews of their Jaipur Airport scenery for MSFS.
Jaipur International Airport (VIJP/JAI) is the main international gateway to the capital city of Rajasthan. The single-runway airport features two relatively new terminal buildings and serves as a focus city for AIX Connect and IndiGo. Despite its small size, the airport offers connections to the Middle East, Thailand, and a majority of the Indian subcontinent. Known for its passenger-friendly amenities and unique architecture, Jaipur Airport won the Airport Council International’s “World’s Best Airport” award for airports with 2-5 million passengers. To accommodate for continuous growth, the airport authority is looking to build a new Jaipur Airport in the coming years.
Despite not having an update for a couple months, SkyMatrix has emphasized their commitment to completing the scenery project. At the time of writing, the project is approximately 80% complete. However, the team is considering adding a full terminal interior, which could push back the release date. Nevertheless, the Jaipur Airport project is making steady project, and it will be interesting to see how the final parts of the scenery come together in the coming months.
