Developer SkyHigh Studios has announced it is developing Budapest International Airport (LHBP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The team are currently working on bringing the central-European airport to life for the platform and provided us with some early in-development screenshots.
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport serves as Hungary’s primary international airport, built around a central Terminal. Handling more than 14 million passengers annually, Budapest is seen as a central airport to the East and West of Europe. Wizz Air has a massive base at the airport, but other European airlines such as Ryanair, SmartWings, and easyJet have a strong presence. Multiple long-haul carriers also fly to the airport, such as Emirates, China Air, Korean and Qatar. There is also a strong cargo operation that happens at the airport, bringing in goods from around the world.

The team didn’t share any further information at the time, but the previews do highlight interior modelling, the main terminal and some of the cargo areas. Plus, there are previews of the local hotels that sit within the airport area. It’s worth noting that these are very early screenshots.
SkyHigh did not share a release date, but they are aiming for release within the first half of 2026.
