Skunkcrafts has recently released their rendition of the P-51 Mustang for X-Plane 11.
The P-51 Mustang is often considered to be the best fighter plane from World War II; its introduction into combat service took place in January 1942, in the Royal Air Force, and it continued to be used across the world until the last was retired in 1984 by the Dominican Air Force. Upwards of 15,000 P-51s were built, and except for a few assembled/produced in Australia, all of them were built in Inglewood, CA with additional assembly taking place in Dallas, TX.
The P-51 released by Skunkcrafts claims to set ‘a new reference for 3D model (sic) and textures on X-Plane 11 or any other mainstream flight simulator’. Quite a claim – but the feature list is there to back it up! Take a look:
