After much time in development, SimWorks Studios has released its anticipated Van’s RV-8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is a great aerobatics aircraft, if you’re looking for something light, fun, and thrilling.
This is the third release in SimWorks Studios’ Van’s aircraft line-up, meaning that they have plenty of time to get to grips with similar types of planes. With this pack, you can choose from the taildragger or the tricycle variant, and fly with various propeller options. The RV-8 features great visibility and control balance and can cruise up to speeds of 220mph, giving you a great number of flying opportunities.
SimWorks Studios used 3D scans of the plane to recreate the model of the Van’s RV-8, whilst ensuring that every area has highly detailed texture work applied to it. The flight model has been created from recorded flight data, and then tested by an RV-8 owner for verification, meaning you know you’re getting a detailed model.

You will find 7 liveries included, both an analogue and G3X cockpit option, and also various animations throughout, including air con vents, exits and baggage compartments. Furthermore, the smoke effects have been created by Parallel 42 and promise to be “FPS friendly”. You can see the full feature list down below.
You can get your copy via the SimWorksStudios website for €14.99.
