The long-awaited Kodiak 100 Series II from SimWorks Studios has finally been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Sporting a realistic flight mode, a number of custom systems and great looking modelling, the Kodiak 100 should suit a range of simulator users.
The aircraft has been developed with the help of Daher and real-world Kodiak pilots to help make this an authentic aircraft. Included with the product are four different wheeled variants, as well as 40 different liveries for each of them. This comprehensive package also features a custom air conditioning system, high-quality sounds (recorded from the actual plane), along with various interiors. Those interiors include cargo, mixed, skydiving and summit (executive).
In addition to those features, the plane also supports the G1000 NXi developed by Working Title. To help get to grips with the plane, a full PDF manual is also included to help go from the ground to air as seamless as possible.
The Kodiak 100 Series II is a high-wing, single-engine turboprop that can carry up to 9 passengers over 1,110nm. Its powerful PT6A-34 engines mean it can perform incredible short take-offs (less than 350ft of runway), along with landing in all kinds of terrain thanks to its bush or tundra tyres.
