SimWorks Studios has released on their website a rework of their previously released F4B/N Phantom II for Prepar3D v4. The major change in this version is the introduction of PBR texturing and dynamic lighting on the aircraft and the use of new techniques in order to future-proof the aircraft and make it compatible with P3d v4.
The aircraft has three different cockpit models, representing the evolution of the naval variant on the Phantom II throughout its service life. The aircraft is fully compatible with the payware VRS TacPack, which enable the use of various weapons in P3D. The SWS F-4B/N Phantom II is also compatible with the SWS Carriers Extended for those who want to try carrier operations.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4B/N Phantom II is a heavy twin-seat interceptor and fighter bomber that was specifically designed for carrier operations. The N variant was an engine and radar upgrade. Its carrier span from 1961 to 1984 with both US Navy and Marine Corps, and the aircraft recorded many victories against MiG during the Viet-Nam war.
The SWS F-4B/N Phantom II is sold as a standalone add-on for €39.99 and is available only for P3D v4.5 HF1 or above. Users who previously owned the legacy F-4B/N Phantom II for FSX are eligible to a coupon that will bring the price down to €19.99. The coupon can be found in their SWS account page.
