SimWorks Studios has announced on Facebook the release date for their upcoming Kodiak on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Providing nothing goes wrong from now, the team plan on releasing the wheeled variant of the Kodiak on Friday, 17th December 2021.
The aircraft was originally due out during the Summer, but the team wanted to continue polishing it so that it was in great shape for when it does eventually come out.
When talking about how detailed the aircraft will be, SimWorks Studios said that the torques and fuel flows are “very close” to the real world aircraft. This, along with the detailed 3D modelling and texture work, should mean the Kodiak 100 is an impressive bird upon release.
In the Facebook post, we also learned that the wheeled variant will be first and will retail for €29.99 and will be released on numerous stores, including the SimWorks Studios store, OrbxDirect, simMarket and others. After the initial release, they intend on releasing the Kodiak 100 on the in-sim Marketplace for both PC and Xbox users.
Finally, the team were being asked about an amphibian model. SimWorks Studios confirmed they are putting the finishing touches on the model and the flight dynamics, which also includes some system differences. This will be released as an independent package in the future for €14.99 when it’s made available.
For now, be sure to check out the new previews of the bird in action.
