A new airport serving Southeast Asia was recently released. Surat Thani International Airport is a popular Thai destination in the Surat Thani province of southern Thailand. The airport is a gateway to South Thailand, serving around two million passengers per year. It connects travelers to the beautiful southern region of Thailand, where they can explore the lively night markets of Surat Thani, visit temples and cultural sites, and even interact with elephants at local elephant sanctuaries.
The airport itself is particularly interesting as it only has a single paved runway despite being the tenth-busiest airport in Thailand. Furthermore, the airport serves various squadrons of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) making it truly dual-purpose with both commercial and military aviation in mind. SIMMAN’s rendition of the airport includes the parking areas and static aircraft of the RTAF in addition to realistic terminals and buildings. To top things off, a custom usable jetway is also included. If you’re interested in picking up a copy and adding a new destination in Southeast Asia, you can head over to simMarket and purchase it for $17.24 USD or € 15.59.
