Scenery developer simHeaven has released an update for X-EUROPE for X-Plane 11. The new version 5.3 is a freeware download which continues to provide OSM (OpenStreetMap) data for their scenery.
The new version corrects missing height data which fixes objects and buildings from appearing smaller in size. In addition, implementation of a more complex OSM data now generates more complex buildings.
Seasons in version 5.3 now allows compatibility with the objects within the scenery.
In further news, the developer states Africa and America data are soon to come. The European region is a blueprint for their next in line development of X-AMERICA and X-AFRICA.
X-AFRICA covers the entire continent of Africa including the Canary Islands. X-AMERICA covers North, Central, and South America. Beta testing is under way for both regions.
The developer also has implemented network mods which allows the user to fully customize tree line and road tunnels. The new mod can be used to change trees along highways to bushes or the ability to completely eliminate them from the scenery. Furthermore, this mod can eliminate unnecessary road tunnels that usually pop up in between each tile. The images depict a before and after image with the implementation of the mod.
