Following on from their release earlier this week, Sim-Wings has released its second airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. La Gomera Airport (GCGM) in the Canary Islands is the second smallest in the region but still an interesting destination for flight simmers thanks to its nearby terrain and often challenging windy weather. The short runway means that flights typically connect to Tenerife North and Gran Canaria where passengers can then catch international flights to destinations in Europe and beyond.
The airport features high-resolution ground textures and a custom mesh model that includes a slight incline runway based on real-world data. The airport terminal has full interior modelling, and buildings in the area have also been modelled for an immersive approach. The airport has been built from scratch using the Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK.
You can buy Sim-Wings’ La Gomera Airport from Aerosoft for €13.40 (excluding tax).
Features:
- High-resolution ground textures based on aerial photographs with 25 cm/pixel for the direct airport environment
