Sierrasim Simulation has announced their next airport via Facebook, Camilo Daza International Airport (SKCC) for FSX, P3D v4 and P3D v5.
Camilo Daza International Airport (SKCC) is located in the north of Colombia, 5 kilometres from the Cúcuta city centre, next to the Venezuelan border. The airport was named after Brigadier General Daza of the Colombian Air Force, who flew the first Colombian aircraft in 1919 and is considered to be the founder of Colombian aviation.
Opened on October 10, 1971, the airport operates general aviation and commercial flights to international destinations, serviced by airlines such as Avianca and LATAM Colombia with destinations to Bogotá and Cartagena. Despite its size, the airport handled flights from Madrid, Miami, San Jose, Quito, and Caracas, to facilitate the Peace Without Borders concert in 2008. Camilo Daza handles roughly a million passengers a year, executing over 30,000 air operations.
Sierrasim Simulation has chosen to recreate the airport using photoreal imagery, that is fully compatible with Orbx VECTOR and openLC South America. Some highlights include PBR textures, animated jetways and GSX compatibility, all in a framerate friendly airport.
