X-Plane developer ShortFinal Design has shared a fresh update on the current status of SFD Global. For those who may not know, SFD Global is designed to be a complete texture replacement package for the world of X-Plane 11.
In their statement on Facebook, ShortFinal Design said that “unfortunately, development has slowed down a bit due to various other commitments […].” ShortFinal Design went onto say that they suspect that the terrain textures are about 90% completed and then work will begin on the final autogen region. That particular region will be South America. Over the course of the next 2 months, ShortFinal Design expect to complete all regions and finish the final 10% of the terrain textures to complete the product.
“I’m still trying to finish it this Summer.”
Attached with the Facebook post was a variety of previews of the current progress, along with comparison shots with default scenery and also a small preview of the previously mentioned South American autogen.
