It has been a long while since we last heard from the talented team at ShortFinal Design, but that period of silence is over now. Announced on Facebook, ShortFinal Design has confirmed they’re heading back to where it first started and announced San Francisco Definitive.
The Facebook post announcing the project was lacking in any specific details, but a more in-depth version was shared on the X-Plane.org forums. We know that the airport product will come with accurately modelled terminals, including the new terminal 1. The ground layout will e accurate based on current data and custom SAM jetways will also be added to gates with jetways. All ground textures will be 4K and also come with rain effects.
This scenery has been developed by X-Plane legend MisterX, who is known for his high-quality freeware. ShortFinal Design is the payware handle used by MisterX.
Located on the west coast, San Francisco International Airport (KSFO) is one of the busiest airports in the US with over 55 million passengers visiting when at pre-pandemic levels. United Airlines is the biggest airline that serves the airport and they fly domestic and international routes.
No release date was shared, but we’ll keep you updated once we learn more.
