Developer ShortFinal Designs has released SFD Global and it is now available at the X-Plane Store.
Described as an ‘all-in-one solution’ for X-Plane users, the software provides a more immersive X-Plane experience by introducing new high-definition ground textures and forests, along with custom, region-specific autogen for the entire world. Rendered with modern techniques including baked ambient occlusion and PBR materials, SFD Global promises a more realistic flying experience.
The software includes eight different regions: Africa and the Middle East, Australia, East Asia, Mediterranean, New England, Scandinavia, South America, and US West Coast. Each region includes unique handcrafted 4K textured 3D buildings native to that region.
SFD Global also includes new forest autogen with 4K textures, along with more realistic size and density, and various tree biomes for the different regions.
All of the terrain is based on high-resolution aerial imagery and is compatible with both default and third-party meshes.
SFD Global can be purchased from the X-Plane.org store for $30 USD.
