After months of teasers, forum discussions, and feature requests, Scratchpads for Navigraph Charts has landed, offering flight simmers a dedicated space to jot down notes, ATC clearances, and other flight-critical info directly within their charts, meaning no more juggling paper or external apps mid-flight.
The Scratchpads feature isn’t just a sticky note on the screen; it’s designed with real-world flight preparation in mind, mirroring tools found in professional EFBs like ForeFlight and bridging gaps inside the current Charts interface.
With Scratchpads for Navigraph Charts, you will now be able to quickly write down arrival information, departure instructions, route clearances, and CRAFT format notes used on online networks like VATSIM and IVAO. Track pilot reports and holding instructions as they come in, log performance data, taxi instructions, or reminders specific to your flight.
There are several scratchpad templates to choose from, including Blank paper, Lined paper, Checkered (graph) paper and a Typable notepad. Some specialised templates include ATIS, PIREPs, IN/OUT times, takeoff and landing data (TOLD), clearance (CRAFT), and holding instructions.
Navigraph Charts has steadily evolved into much more than just a chart viewer. With features like annotations already in place, Scratchpads further push the app toward a fully-featured EFB experience.
