Ankara’s Esenboğa airport has been a cornerstone of Turkish aviation since it opened in 1955. Ranked 4th in the country for passenger traffic, LTAC has seen well over 13 million passengers per year in recent years. The airport layout features three parallel runways, including the newly opened 12,303-foot (3,750-meter) 03R/21L, which just opened for use in January 2026.
According to SceneryTR Design, LTAC features photorealistic, high-resolution textures on airport buildings along with custom animated jetways and custom night textures. To bring the airport to life, the developer has also included custom airport vehicles, static aircraft, and detailed ground markings that reflect the real-world operations of the Turkish capital. Venturing outside of the airport’s perimeter, SceneryTR Design has modeled surrounding buildings, including a detailed model of the Anıtkabir Monument, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Turkish Republic.
