RW Profiles has released a new version of Newcastle International Airport (EGNT) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport, located in the North East of England, serves over 5 million passengers annually and is a key regional hub for airlines including British Airways, Jet2, TUI, and Emirates.
The scenery offers an up-to-date and highly detailed rendition of the airport, featuring hand-crafted textures, accurate airport layout, and custom modelling throughout. RW Profiles has included a range of enhancements designed to improve the experience for simmers, including a fully modelled terminal interior, custom animated jetways, and support for GSX Pro with an official profile.
The development team has also taken performance into consideration, offering options to toggle various scenery elements and optimising the package with LODs and efficient instancing. Other notable features include improved runway and taxiway lighting, realistic night illumination, static aircraft, and bespoke ground clutter.
