Developer Runway 26 Simulations has announced that they are currently developing Puerto Plata International Airport for X-Plane 11. The airport is officially known as Gregorio Luperón International Airport (MDPP) and is located in the north of the Dominican Republic. With over 10,000ft of runway and a large apron, the airport can handle up to multiple large aircraft each day. The airport currently sees daily flights to locations such as Toronto, Montreal, Frankfurt and Helsinki.
The airport product will feature 3D models of each airport building, along with high-definition ground texture work. The airport will also feature PBR materials, SAM jetways and static aircraft to help make the airport feel alive.
Along with the announcement on Facebook, the team shared a range of previews of the airport product in X-Plane 11. When we have more details regarding a release, we will let you know.
