Following the trailer shown off last week, Rotate has finally released the MD-11 Passenger version for X-Plane 12. The MD-11 was first introduced in 1990 and was developed to replace the ageing DC-10. It entered service first with Finnair as a passenger jet and soon 200 of the type were eventually built.
According to the developer, they say that all the simulated systems match the specifications of the original model along with all redundancy features. Expect a comprehensive simulation of the tri-engine aircraft, with both automatic and manual modes.
The feature list is pretty extensive, with electrical, air, and hydraulic systems well represented and simulated. There is also advanced 3D modelling for the whole plane, an in-depth failure system, along with rain and icing effects. Furthermore, there is a custom autopilot system, various aural-visual warnings, and a range of liveries to get you started once you install the plane.
You can buy the Rotate MD-11 Passenger version from the X-Plane.org store right now for $83.95. If you own the Rotate MD-11 Freighter model, you can get the passenger version for $34.95.
