Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by Roman Design, the Canadian airport on the eastern side of the country has 3 primary runways catering to a variety of aircraft sizes and types.
Despite a sharp drop in passenger numbers in the past year (due to the pandemic), the airport used to see around 5 million passengers per year. Airlines such as Air Canada, West Jet and Air Transat took passengers to locations such as Montreal, Cancun, Punta Cana and many others. Other airlines such as Lufthansa, United Express and newcomer Flair Airlines also fly to the airport. Not only does Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport have a good level of passenger traffic, but it also hosts a range of cargo operations.
The developers, Roman Design, has included various buildings in and around the airport area, along with detailed interior modelling for the main international terminal. There are also 5 hangars that can be taxied into which typically serve military and air force aircraft. 30 buildings have been handcrafted for the airport, along with numerous objects, detailed ground markings and also dynamic lighting is all included with the airport product.
