REX Simulations Releases Weather Force V1.3 for MSFS

REX Simulations has released V1.3 of Weather Force for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

If you are not familiar, Weather Force is a weather engine that injects highly accurate real world weather data into your flight simulator. While MSFS may have incredible depictions of different types of weather, the live weather function leaves much to be desired, as it is not actually real-time data, and can sometimes be completely inaccurate. This concept is demonstrated in the image REX has provided for this update, as while the live cam and REX Weather depiction show snow, MSFS live weather is depicting rain.

The update was announced via a Facebook post, as well as a post to REX’s forum, which provides a long list of updates to the program, as well as installation instructions. Users of Weather Force should get a pop-up inside the application indicating the update is ready to download. They should then uninstall the current version of Weather Force before installing the new file.

According to the post, this new update comes with a long list of additions, improvements and fixes. Some of the notable additions include the ability to search for weather at favorite airports, instant snow coverage at airports where snow is falling, and improved cloud rendering.

Version 1.3 of Weather Force comes to us a little less than four months after the initial release back in September, which you can read about here.

You can purchase REX Simulations’ Weather Force V1.3 from the REX Game Store for $21.95 here.
