After the teasers and announcements from Rex earlier this month, the team has now released REX Atmos for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The new tool is designed to “transform” your world by featuring real-time rendering of the environment and atmospheric conditions in your simulator. You will be able to manipulate weather parameters, adjust the atmosphere and change various environmental values in order to make the world look more realistic.
You will be able to use the REX Atmos control panel to create various presets and then inject them into your simulator in real-time, adjusting how the sim looks. Rex says this is “non-destructive”, meaning it will preserve your core files, enabling you to revert back anytime. Once you have made profiles, you can then share them with other users of REX Atmos.
REX Atmos is compatible with the default live weather, REX Weather Force, and Active Sky, plus weather presets. The team says that the visual changes will fix overly dark clouds, customise weather scenarios and adjusts shading appropriately.
You can buy REX Atmos directly from their store for $14.50 (excluding taxes) and it will come to a host of other stores soon.
